My Thanksgiving Point Debate
Along the lines of "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" I have been practicing a "If you dont have any NEW ideas for Thanksgiving Point pics, dont post them at all". Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Thanksgiving Point. There is no where in the state of Utah with more perfect photo ops, perfect lighting for anytime of year or day, or more convienient for the bride and me. BUT because of those reasons it is so overdone by both me and most Utah photographers.
For the past few months I have had a struggle with feeling my creative vibe inside the Thx Pt walls. I finally shook myself awake last week and realized that just because I have been there a million times, it is the first time for the brides that I take there and I owe it to myself and them to wake up and get with it. So here are a few from Saymy's bridals this week and I have two more Thx Pt bridals that I am editing that I will be posting soon. I LOVE the shots that I have gotten and I think I am finally out of my rut. BRING ON Thanksgiving POINT.

I know what you mean about an area being overdone but it looks like you did amazingly well with this shoot! I'm glad you posted it and you're definitely out of the rut!

Good job Darla! I'm glad you were able to look at things differently. THough after the kick-A laundry mat photoshoot, I don't see why anyone would ever want to go to Thanksgiving Point again. Seriously!
p.s. These pictures are totally outside the box. Keep it up. That first one is especially killer.
