Ahuuumm...your attention please...

I just wanted to post a quick announcement that July is my last month of shooting until the middle of October. As most of you know, I will be having a baby in September and I have chosen to take all of August off to lay around my air conditioned house and complain.

I wont stop blogging, but it will become a little more of a personal blog for a couple months as I document the last days of being a mother of ONE child, to becoming a busy mother of TWO.

If you are interested in booking please call ASAP as my July is filling fast. You can also book your fall photos now as I will be taking only limited appointments thru the end of the year.

I'm having a BOY!

The ultasound went great this morning. The doctor had no doubts that it's a boy. We are super excited and I cant wait to start nesting. I have a huge job ahead of me going thru Rio's baby clothes and getting them organized into age groups. Speaking of Rio, he is so mad that he isnt getting a sister. I dont know why he was so set on a girl but he doesnt even want to talk about a brother.

Anyway, I am so excited. It's amazing how much more I feel bonded to HIM now that I know it's a HIM.

I promise...

to blog EVERY day this week to make up for my LONG absense. I am still sick if you can believe it. My ear is still plugged and I'm getting tired of hearing myself echo inside my head. BUT the show must go on. I went back to work and have lots of fun stuff to blog.



ALSO, it is not a secret but I havent ever posted that yes I am pregnant. I am 21 weeks and looking forward to my ultrasound this Friday. I can honestly say that I dont care if it's a boy or a girl. Financially it would be fabulous to have a boy. I have everything and wouldnt have to buy anything. BUT I have to admit I have been peeking around at girl clothes and OH MY FOR CUTE! So either way I am happy.

And FINALLY, Happy 85th Birthday to my sweet Grandma!

"What the Heck?!!"

This has become Rio's favorite saying. It's such a Utah thing to say but he didnt get it from his dad or Me. It cracks me up everytime I hear it tho.

Anyway, I wanted to explain my absence. I have been so sick for TWO WEEKS PLUS. I have a sinus and ear infection. I think I'm on the mend now although I am still deaf in one ear. I promise to bring back some excitement to this lonely blog within the next few days.

Longest Winter EVER!

I was ticked off on Sunday morning when we woke up to SNOW. Seriously TICKED. When is it going to be green outside? When are the trees going to bloom? At this point I am looking forward to allergies. Bring it on! Anything is better than being stuck inside with a bored 3 year old with endless amounts of energy.

I am so excited to shoot outside without thaw out breaks every 10 min. Although I do have to admit that I have LOVED my studio this winter. I think I would have gone crazy without it. I love that I have full control of the light morning, noon and night.

Here are a few quick shots of my brothers baby. We had the Fam up for Sunday lunch and I couldn't resist.

Come See Me Tomorrow!!!

The day has come for me to hang out with my friends at Pantywaist and Co. I am super excited to see what they have been working on with their children's chic boutique line. I will also be promoting my portrait sessions and will be giving amazing deals on all sessions booked tomorrow. Also, I'm excited to be working with Megan from Pink Piggy Invitations and Announcements. She has a new baby line that I am dying to see.

I had the honor of doing a full day photoshoot for the amazingly talented ladies from Pantywaist and Co. They are launching their new childrens clothing line and I couldnt be more excited for them. My Personal "WISH LIST":

I LOVE these dolls. They are the perfect quiet toy for church or other quiet occasions. I plan on buying a few of these to give as gifts. Each doll is different. It also rolls up into a easy to carry package. SOOOOOO cute!

I LOVE this dress. The fabric is so chic and sweet.

These bibs are awesome. You cant tell by the photo but they are made with this really cool material that you can wipe off.

Referral line that is. I am so blessed to have the BEST clients in the world. It means so much to me when I am referred by a past client to their friends and family. I don't take it lightly that you have put your name and judgment on the line for me. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Sorry I have been MIA for a week. I have been SOOOO busy taking pics that I havent been able to edit or post. I will have new stuff starting tomorrow and all thru the week.

This is my friend Mindy's baby Colton. I worked with her a few years ago before I quit to do photography full time. I also did their wedding back in 2004. And now I got to meet this cute little chub. He is almost nine months and wants to be on the go. He did SOOO good at his shoot tho and we got lots of cute toothy smiles.

Arent they SOOO cute? We didn't do anything fancy with props or backgrounds and I love them. When you got looks like this, who needs props?

Pricing Update!

As of June 1st 2007 I will be changing my pricing and packages. The cost will be increasing in some cases to offer better quality albums and products.

I will honor my current pricing on any wedding or portrait session booked (no matter what the wedding date is) until June 1st. So if you are considering booking please call me soon.

Got Weddings?

You are probably wondering if I ever actually take pictures at weddings. It has been a full month of Engagements and Bridals posts. BUT in the midst of all these Eng/Bride shoots there have been weddings too...I just haven't had any time to edit them. Check back later today for a wedding post.

Onelight Workshop

Yesterday was such an amazing experience. I went to the onelight workshop held by the lighting guru Zack Arias. I had to leave halfway thru because my son got sick. I was having such a great time but my kid comes first. Special thanks to Zack, Davina Fear for hosting the workshop at her new ulta-cool studio, and to my old and new friends that I got to know better yesterday.

Rio's Room

Well, Rio is two now and it's time to start moving him out of his crib so I decided that I would re-do his room at the same time. Much to everyone's confusion I painted his room orange yesterday. I LOVE IT! And so does Rio. When I finished and he came in to see it he said "Awesome Mom! Good job!" I will post more pics later when the room is complete and decorated. I couldn't get him to smile for this pic because he was to preoccupied with trying to get back to his kareoke singing.

Fly Me To the Moon...

In my new goal to take more photos of beautiful things, here is something I saw tonight. Now, if your from Utah, you are probably like me and see this everynight and dont look twice. But for some reason I took a second look tonight. It's not a perfect picture by any means. I was out in a dark/scary field behind my house and I got spooked so I didnt take time to do it right.

Gateway Wedding Show

What a fun show! And I had a killer spot. I was located at the end of the bridal fashion show runway so I had the best seat in town and took advantage of it. Thanks for everyone who stopped by. Snow~Snow~Snow

Look what I saw! I can't tell you how many times a day I see something interesting and think "oooh that would make a great photograph!" So I have made a resolve to start documenting what I see in everyday life. It is inspiring to me to find beauty in things most people pass everyday without noticing.
